It would be smarter just to bet on the other team, remember the Giants are probably only gonna score 1 or 2 with a guy like Cueto on the mound, that 3 run first inning essentially ended the game early imo, congrats Reds

This, no matter how much he sucks he's getting a ton of money from that long term contract. 7 years $126 million guarantees he's getting paid until end of 2013 season.

Don't like this guy. Not his fault he got the contract....I even applaud himself from a business standpoint getting such a massive deal BUT.....the guy is weak....self centered and much more about himsef than the team.

They should just make him bounce around in the minors until he hates life.

Honestly I think the move to SF helped destroy Zitos pitching, he has always been a pitcher that is incredible with a lead, he is 111-6 lifetime when receiving 4 runs of support or more which is fuckin incredible (they didnt offer him 120 mil for 7 years for nothing), but with a team like SF I think he pitches like shit bc of something psychological
As bad as Zito was today who cares, the Giants didnt score a fuckin run, they could've had Halladay on the mound and it wouldnt have made any difference

As a sports fan in general I don't know why more GM's and coaches don't do this. Send a guy to the minors to absolutely grind in hellish crap and the word would go around like wildfire. Can think of many that deserve such treatment...

Planet Zito is quirky, but he's one of the all time great 2H pitchers. Also 125-7 lifetime when he gets 4+ runs.
Oh, and this too:
"He created the charity Strikeouts for Troops, to which he donates $400 for every strikeout he throws. The charity benefits hospitals for soldiers wounded in military operations. In 2010, Zito announced that he would donate $1,500 for every strikeout in the Giants-Padres game on September 11. There were a total of 14 strikeouts in the game"
