    Something to try for Wimbledon......
Ok i've been making some good money in wimbledon so far so I figured I am going to try something out here.I placed 18 bets of $5 each on all of the big underdogs to win Wimbledon. This $5 will win $4,995 if they happened to win, which they probably won't anyways but check this out.
There are a couple ways you could do it from here. Either:

    A) Let the bets ride through the whole tourney. If the player loses you are out $5
    B) Back the opposing player in each match. For example I have becker to win the open at $5 to win 4,995 and I could back clement in his next match for say 20 bucks. If Clement wins I get about 20 dollars net winnings if clement loses I still have my becker bet to win at $5 to win 4,995.For Beckers next match I would have to bet the opposing player and bet that player enough to recover the 20 bucks I would have lost on betting clement and some money on top of that to cover the becker loss if this other play beats becker. If Becker keeps winning you just keep on backing the other player. THis is only really good if the big names happen to get knocked out because if Becker players a decent player that player will be -1500 at least against Becker so it would be hard to get back the losses so this probably isn't the best way
    C) This is what I am probably going to do.Ride out the bets for each match and if it looks as though the player I have backed to win the open is about to lose, bet on the other player in live betting and recoup my 5 dollars that I am going to lose and then a bit more

Hope this makes sense to you guys.I thought about this really late at night here.If one of those 18 players happens to win wimbledon by some miracle I am up about $4,910 bucks. If all of the players that I bet lose, I will have been able to recover my $5 bet through live betting while betting on the other player that is winning.

I think this could be profitable and the chances of losing money is very minimal.Need to be able to find a book that takes live bets though for this to work best. Let's see how this works.I will track the progress in this thread.

Here are the 18 players that I have bet $5 each to win $4,995

    Calleri,Clement,Robredo,Tursnov, Grosjean,Niemenen, Melzer, Gicquel,Bolleli, Seppi,Zverev, Mallise,Galvani, Arguello,Troicki, Garcia Lopez, Reynolds, Stadler

See ya guys in a couple hours

OK, if this is the Wimbledon "dream on" thread then I confess I took Anna Chakvedatze (Chucky) at 80-1 to shock and awe, for reasons that anyone who knows anything about tennis would surely laugh at.

As for your plan, it looks like you've basically made an 18 player "field" bet for $90 to win $4995 (since only one can cash), so around 55-1, who knows this could be the year for a shocker, but I wouldn't mess around with hedging each player starting with the 3rd round you'll probably dig a pretty deep hole for yourself.

The hedging part of this would be the easiest part since only $5 was wagered on each player. If one of my players chosen is down and the match is basically over, I have the oppurotunity through live betting to place a little wager on the other player to get the $5 if I really want to get it back.Of course if the odds are way to big or if the odds are not available late in the match, $5 is not hard to stomach as a loss.
The intention of these bets is not necessarily to win $4,995 it is to hedge out and win some money as the player progresses through the tournament
By the way Galvani is looking good so far and serving for the first set.Hope he can keep that up vs youz. Vassallo Arguello against keifer, thats a different story

One of the 18 is already pooched. Vassallo Arguello. Put some money on Keifer to win 10 bucks so will actually come up 5 dollars up with him
