The set up. Pittsburgh down 26 (40-14) with 1.25 to go (run out the clock and I win). Miami coach Larry Coker calls in the field goal team and attempts a 38 field goal with the clock running.....field goal is good. My heart sinks (watching at Caesars Palace). Miami up 43-14.....sick.

Pittsburgh gets the ball back and drives down to the 20 yard line with 20 seconds to go. 4th down. Pass over the middle...incomplete.....but wait.....Sean Taylor for Miami (dead now) called for unnecessary roughness for hitting receiver in the head after the play. First and goal....under 20 seconds left. Pitt QB Rutherford rolls out and scores. Final score 43-21.....winner.

It starts at 9.40 of the highlights below. It shows the field goal, the pass interference play, but not the final rollout score for some reason. Brutal game, and one that you need to win or you could really lose your mind. This Miami team had Ed Reed, and about 10 other future NFL stars. They went undefeated and were National Champs that year. Good highlight reel.
