Referral Bonus dispute with The Greek
Sorry to introduce to myself to the forum like this, but I ran into this site searching for help with a dispute.

I referred 2 of my friends to Olympic sportsbook last week.

Both these accnt holders informed me that after multiple wagers, they lost all their money. I had lost all the money in my betting accnt also.

So I emailed asking what I needed to do to be eligible for a referral bonus. According to their rules, only accounts that have been actively wagering for 30 days are allowed referral bonuses. Since the accounts I referred lost all their money before the 30 days, I would not be eligible for referral bonuses.

Fair enough, I thought I'd request my friends to redeposit and start wagering again. I asked if they could do so in order to be classified as "active" - I was told no. After repeated emails, they offered me no solution.

If a customer loses all his money before 30 days, how does his accnt go from being "inactive" to "active"?

After all, both the referred accounts and I lost all our money. I feel I deserve a referral bonus by adhering to some future criteria like redeposit/more wagers/more time to elapse, before these referral bonuses can be honored.
What have other player experiences been with referral bonuses from The Greek?

I hope SBR can help me resolve this issue.

the way it works is you get the bonus on the 30th day from the initial deposit of whoever you referred

doesnt matter how fast they lost the money

So will I get the referral bonus after 30 days from their sign up have elapsed? I did not get that notion from their correspondence with me.

It seemed like they meant I could NEVER get credit NO MATTER WHAT.

      I hope you are right.

So they ought to credit me eventually, but stated they won't do so because the accounts would not have consistently wagered the 30 days from 1st deposit. So I ask them by what means I can become bonus eligible. I get no answer.

I read their owner Spiros has a great reputation..I hope he can find out about this situation and be fair to credit me the referral bonuses 30 days after their first deposit. Is there any way I can email him directly?

akumbaya - these are the rules I found on their site for referral bonuses.

                  • Earn 21% Bonus on friend's initial deposit.
                  • There is no limit how much in bonuses you can earn through referrals, and the bonus will not count against the limits imposed for other types of bonuses.
                  • Referral bonus subject to regular bonus rollover requirements (as above) and a maximum bonus amount of $250 USD per customer referred.
                  • Bonus is calculated on first deposit only; subsequent deposits will not count even if done in the same day.
                  • Both you and your friends account must be active for bonus to be valid, otherwise bonus may be denied, forfeited or revoked. Active is defined as an account having multiple wagers placed each week for the previous 30 days. Referral bonuses are awarded only after active requirements are met, and may be revoked if referred accounts do not maintain an active status.

Note the part that says "you and your friends account must be active for bonus to be valid, otherwise bonus may be denied, forfeited or revoked. Active is defined as an account having multiple wagers placed each week for the previous 30 days." I assume this is why they're saying you're not eligible for these bonuses but if you fill out that form that Icer linked, an Admin will confirm with you definitively.

Yeah I'm not sure as I've never taken a bonus there. But it's definitely something to keep in mind now. If we're going to refer people and want to claim the bonus then I guess we just have to get them to bet smaller chunks of their deposit a few times each week? Almost seems like a bit too much of a hassle for me.

I have filled out the complain form and am waiting on Lou to get back to me. My friends told me today they will be redepositing and betting again. So if they lost all their initial deposit in week 1 after multiple wagers, redeposit in week 2 and place wagers each week until the 30 days are up, I ought to then get the bonus. But neither Greek or SBR complaint department has been able to confirm this for me.

I will also be redepositing and wagering in my accnt.

So if the above are done, won't it be unfair of them to not credit me the referral bonuses after the 30 day requirement?

You would have to reup and play a couple of times a week in each account.

theviking, both my friends have redeposited and started wagering again. They intend to do so up until 30 days from the 1st deposit, which was made less than 2 weeks ago on both accnts.

Since you have been successful with referral bonuses, in your master opinion, could you tell me if I am now on my way to be eligible for the referral bonuses, assuming both accnts will continue to wager.

When will people learn to read a bookie's rules carefully before starting to play ?

No good whining about it after the event.

I did read the rules. I just don't see how I will be ineligible for the referral bonuses since the referred accounts lost all their money and still redeposit & continue to wager.

was kind of a joke, with the master, as u understood.
