Yeah, but those times are April and May, not August and September.

In his 4 seasons, Fukudome has hit .338 in April and .199 in September. Night and day.

He could help some though. He is patient at the plate and is a very good fielder. If he could stay in April he'd be a Hall of Famer.

Cubs are useless this year (insert punch line) and his contract was ending (which was a good thing). He wasn't coming back. Anything they got for him (players and/or salary relief) was certainly better than nothing.

once the entire team is traded and the organization is blown up 100% from right now it will matter 0%. this isn't my opinion it is fact....unless winning isn't the goal of what they are trying to do. honestly some team don't, they just try and turn as much profit as possible.
