Dolphin fans check in - Kyle Orton being brought in from Denver??

Kyle Orton watch: As of early Wednesday afternoon, there had been no official word about the veteran quarterback being brought in from Denver to compete with Chad Henne for the Dolphins' starting job. But according to my NFL Network colleague Michelle Beisner, a deal is very close to happening.



Maybe a little competition is what Henne needs? I haven't given up on Henne

Henne looked great the first few weeks but the last half of the season he looked like his confidence was really shaken. New offensive coordinator should help.

Orton can move the chains on any team. He will not wow anyone, but is a big improvement for the Phins.

Jay Cutler Will never win anything with the Bears. I am not saying thatOrton is the shit but its arguable who is better when comparing Orton and Culter. I would rather have Orton on my team if I had to choose. Cutler is the most over rated over paid QB in the NFL. No one else is even close.

Vince brings an interesting dynamic to the team thats for sure...

i haven't given up on Henne though.. i know i am a Double Homer on this one.. i am from miami and i graduated from Michigan.. but i still think Henne has one of the best young arms in the League.. i just dont think the dolphins have built the right team around him.... He has def shown me something a few games in MIami.. but yeah.. overall his play hasn't been great.. but i am not sure if its 100% him.. he has def had games where he was very close to lights out and the team lost it for him.. or were just simply not making plays...


it would be crazy if vince came down and took his job.. the same way he took away the rose bowl

Young would run a decent wildcat but would completely make what is a decent receiving corp useless.

Orton wouldn't be bad as long as expectations werent that high.

I really think Orton will be fine, as long as he is surrounded by players who care about winning games. He didn't have that in Denver, once the rest of the team threw in the towel (thanks to horrendous coaching). Kyle's an accurate passer and all around good guy I think, a team man. He doesn't want to be a backup. He wants to be the starter, but the Broncos have no choice but to finally start their first round draft pick. You really should be fine with Orton, and it sure wouldn't hurt that he'd have one of his former go to guys there with him.
