I don't see Tenn being in contention this year regardless....but for Seattle to put their hopes on Tavaris Jackson??

Kind of surprised they let Hasselbeck go and signed Leinart and Jackson. Hopefully Hasselbeck doesnt have much left in the tank because as a Jaguar fan I was seriously hoping for Tennessee to suck this year

Hasselbeck isnt stellar or anything but is a solid option in a weak free agency class. He'll help more than hurt.

Titans shouldn't be a factor for a playoff spot--way too many holes on that team

I don't see Tenn being a major factor this season. Hassleback is not bad but they need more than just a QB at this stage.

seattle traded one bad QB for another, both teams have no shot to do anything big this year. I think this is the year that NE takes it down.

Hasselbeck wanted a multiple year deal. Seattle was offering 1 year/7(ish) mil.
Tennessee got what they wanted.....a smart qb who can help bring Locker around. Let's be honest....Locker sucked for 4 years in College and needs all the help he can get.

Really...tell that to the saints last year.. Good Qb...a little injury prone now...great leader....will be great influence for locker......Great pickup for a titan team looking to grow thier rookie qb..Loved ya in a Seahawk jersey Matt...see you in a few years in the ring of honor.

saints lost because of mistakes and a marshaun lynch special performance.... not because of hasselbeck.... seahawks fluked their way into the playoffs on a pathetic win over st louis in a God fuking awful division, and got exposed after a fluke win in the playoffs.

I think Hasselbeck would be a good fit in Tennessee.. He did horrible in Seattle because they had a horrible O-line. With Tennessees O-line he should be able to get WAY! better looks than he did in Seattle.
"Hasselbeck led the Seahawks to Super Bowl XL at the conclusion of the 2005 season.
In the years since, he has not been well protected and he has not had great weapons. But since that NFC title, even with an excellent, Pro Bowl 2007 season, Hasselbeck has posted a 29-34 record and a 77.5 passer rating, completing 59 percent of his passes while throwing 80 touchdowns and 71 interceptions. He also took 147 sacks.
In the same span, which takes in Young’s entire pro career, he worked with superior protection and a superior run game and was 30-17 with a 75.7 rating. "

Hasslebeck would be good stop gap for Locker except for the likelihood he is going to get hurt. I mean when was the last time Hasslebeck played a full season? At least 12 games?
