if you are a good customer to your current provider and would like to enjoy NFL sunday ticket (or any other promotion) free, simply call your cable/satellite provider and let them know you are thinking about changing to another company.
They will most likely transfer you to their "billing department" - what most people don't know is that there are folks in the "billing department" who are part of what is known as a "retention team"
The "billing person" will casually ask why you are thinking about cancelling your service, or you can bring it up yourself - "I'm thinking about switching because this DirecTV offer i recently saw that is giving out NFL Sunday Ticket for free if I switch" or "A door to door salesperson just offered a free DVR if I switch to their service"
It's these peoples job to ensure they can keep you as a customer and are authorized to give out deals as such. Sometimes the company will ask for an advertisement to validate your claim, so be ready.

Sniper, you must live in Canada. We get no such options in the "Land of the Free". DirecTV or bust for The Ticket.
The commercial is about moving. The gist of it is that if you move, just take your box and remote with you to your new location, and they will also throw in The Ticket for free. Could cause a football loving degenerate to move if they were on the fence about it.

Used to work for Comcast hommie.... This practice is not lost on them.... regardless of wether or not Sunday Ticket is offered via Comcast, I had my NFL Sunday Ticket paid for by doing exactly as I mentioned (yes, Canadian). Got my pal a free HD PVR after 10 mins on the phone - he didn't believe me that it was this easy.
Does DirecTV have a monopoly on Sunday Ticket in the States?

They do have a monopoly here but your statement about the retention team is spot on.I get more sports for nothing on comcast thanks to that.

Red zone. It's like having Sunday ticket, but you never miss anything. Couldn't imagine having to flip thru 20 channels to find out what's going on.

I highly doubt its free. After all, without the exclusive US rights to NFL Sunday Ticket, DirecTV wouldn't be profitable.

Can you get one of those on the internet? Is it easy to install? It's for the direct tv right?

I didn't get it off the internet so I'm not sure although I do know you can buy them over internet. My buddy had a spare box w/ chip already installed so I gave him $50. Yes, DirecTV, all the pay channels are free including Sunday ticket. Keep that on the down low though

Red Zone channel is great for people on a budget, but if you are a serious NFL fan with means there's no excuse not to get Sunday Ticket. There's no substitute for full control of your games.
I like to pick 1 or 2 games and go hard. I have to have the ticket. Don't give a fukk about the red zone of other games.

Sunday ticket is the biggest waste of money. 4-6 games on for free always and all night games. I would never pay to watch the nfl. I do have a program that includes it but that's because I need nhl and nba and soccer.

If you're ever busy all day on a Sunday, just DVR "Red Zone". Catchup on the whole day in real time - you don't miss a thing!

Red Zone sounds great, but let's be honest, when they are two 1-8 teams playing, I really don't care to see who's about to score.
