Should a pitcher get 1.5 saves if he pitches more than one inning for the save?

Why not have it count as
3.1415926535897932 / 2 (people eating the pie) * 1.4 (wow factor for the key lime pie) saves. A pie loving closer could probably get about 200 saves a year.

I'd like to see the closer NOT GET A SAVE if he only makes 2 or fewer outs remaining in a game. That would be better. I think any closer should make 3 or more full outs to get a save. As for 1.5??? Um No.

Doesnt matter how you pitch, you throw 3 innings to finish the game you get the save

not sure but this is probably at the discretion of the official scorer.

get less than a save if you only get one out....get 1.5 worth of a save if you go more innnings...
