1st base Umpire made a bet on the Angels to Win.
If anyone saw the inning where the Angels scored 6 runs, one of the batters got called "No Go" on a check swing.
Then Elvis Andrus does a Jeter throw from deep SS and runner is called safe.

    Unreal!!!!!!!!!!!

Umps are humans they are going to make mistakes. First base umps, i think, they usually get it right. Its pretty amazing because there are tons of micro seconds plays.

We need replays. Manager has two flags a game. Using them on any play. Except strikezone plays. Mostly when the ball is in play.

Umpires are always out of position and just guess the outcome of plays. Let the players determine the outcome, and not the umps

I doubt they 'just guess' the outcomes of plays. I am really not sure what you mean by they are out of position either. I mean I have seen it before, but it was once in a season type of thing, of course they will make errors sometimes. But 95 percent of the time they make the right call. Might be more then that. If you look at all the first base play, where if you look at it from 'above', meaning you are not a fan. IMO they get it right 9.9/10 times. Sure there is not unique case where they get it wrong, but there is no need for replay for on the bases.

I think the way they have it now with home runs being the only replay option is fine. Really what else could you use it for, not strikes. Fair Foul balls on the line? Its pretty easy to tell if its fair or foul by looking at the mark of impact.

Umps get them wrong all the time, when your gambling it seems like the calls always go against you. Just the way it's always been.

I had Texas and the Under. I was so tempted to play the Angels initially but decided not to. Just couldn't make that "Texas is bound to lose sometime" bet. FML and I had been having a good week so far. This sucks. Oh and the Braves screwed me over too.

no doubt, i know the umpiring in the stl/cincy series was atrocious, possibly the worst series for a umpiring crew ive seen all season, i chalk it up more to bad umps than i do "fixes".

Do agree tho that there is no reason mlb cant have a guy in a both that signals down if there was a obvious missed call on the bases tho, shouldnt really take much time and not like im asking for much. but some misses are so blatant that it makes sense to have a guy in a booth watching that can just say "hey boss you really fukked that one up".

Texas had 1 error. Texas pitchers gave up 12 hits and 5 walks.

I guess the umps weren't the only ones who weren't perfect.

Ron Washington went out to argue on the call.
Even he knew how cricked the umpire was.
