    Odds for WSOP
Does anyone know if there were any odds for the top 9 last year to win it all last year? If so, what is a good play? The chip leaders starting the final 9 isn't a a good play. I don't see many chip leader winning it outright.

I remember that Pinnacle offered lines for this last year.. Johnathan Duhamel was somewhere between +250 to +350 with his commanding chip lead. He fell off quite a bit during the final table and was almost eliminated a couple times, but he obviously came back to win it..

I think it's a crapshoot. Don't have enough info about the players to make a good decision. I do know that besides Duhamel, the guy going in with the chiplead often doesn't take it down.

looks like a crapshoot with the blinds. good hand against better hand and it's all over and preflop all ins.

The low stacks have no chance because it looks like they are also the worst players of the group. I am speaking of Heinz, Holden, Makievisky. Badih is probably too ABC but solid so if he gets cards he could win. Best player is a toss up between Collins and Lamb but I think Stazko is actually a very good player, and Gianetti could probably take them in a cash game. I wouldn't take O'dea if I were betting on the final tbl. He needs to play to win, instead of not to lose.

pinny has the lines up funny to say based on chips i think staszko the chip leader actually has the best value +423. i think gianetti lamb and collins r getting too much respect for being american and semi well known. i think the players respect him but it seems the general public not really.

the deep stack play is over so this is pretty hard to bet on.

5dimes has the odds up today. Collins was in my high school class, so I'll probably lay a bet on him for the hell of it if I can get him at +600 or better.

colllins almost 7-1 at pinny. lamb appears to be overvalued IMO, 5th place and 3rd choice from the oddsmakers. no one is superdeep at all, like dlux said a lot of the worse players are on the smaller stacks.

lambs good but with the stack sizes and blind level the skill factor isnt as high at this point.

By the way, seven different countries represented at this final table, as you can tell by the names.

                                        Martin Staszko

                                        Chip count: 40,175,000
                                        Age: 35
                                        Country: Czech Republic
Staszko had four WSOP cashes heading into the main event. But his summer just got a lot more interesting as the chip leader heading into the hiatus for the November Nine. He has just about $80K in live tournament earnings, his best a cash for $50K in a European Poker Tour event in 2010. Staszko methodically built his stack on day 8 of the main event without many huge pots.

                                        Eoghan O’Dea

                                        Chip count: 33,925,000
                                        Age: 26
                                        Country: Ireland
O’Dea will try to be the second member of his family to bring home a bracelet. His father, Donnacha O’Dea, a member of the European Poker Players Hall of Fame won a bracelet in 1998, and he twice made the final table of the main event. The younger O’Dea has three cashes at this WSOP, none of them over $4K. In his career, he has nearly half a million in live tournament earnings, most coming from his 2009 runner-up finish in a World Poker Tour event ($388K). Also known as “Intruder123″, he has had a couple of scores of more than $200K in online poker.

                                        Matt Giannetti

                                        Chip count: 24,850,000
                                        Age: 26
                                        Country: USA
Giannetti, of Las Vegas, survived a time as the short stack to enter the final table third in chips. He has about half a million dollars in live tournament cashes, but he has already guaranteed more than doubling his career earnings with his final table appearance. He cashed the main event in 2006 (521st for $22,266), and he has two career WSOP final tables. He played at PokerStars as “hazards21.”

                                        Phil Collins

                                        Chip count: 21,425,000
                                        Age: 26
                                        Country: USA
Collins is better known for his exploits online than his live tournament acumen. But the online stalwart has made his breakthrough in live play with a final table in the main event. His cash in this tournament will easily eclipse his lifetime live earnings (about $100K). His online cashes are extensive, however, with more than $3 million, mostly playing as “USCphildo” on PokerStars and Full Tilt. This is his first real success at the WSOP, with his largest cash to date being about $13K in 2009.

                                        Ben Lamb

                                        Chip count: 20,725,000
                                        Age: 26
                                        Country: USA
Lamb is the most accomplished player at the final table, with one WSOP bracelet to his credit, two other WSOP final tables this year, and more than $2.5 million in live tourney cashes in his career. His win came in the $10K pot-limit Omaha event. He finished second in a $3K Omaha event, and eighth in the $50K Players Championship. Lamb also leads the WSOP player of the year race heading into the upcoming WSOP Europe events. This is his second deep run in the main event — he finished in 14th place in 2009. He also has more than a million in online cashes, mostly playing on the handle “benba.”

                                        Badih Bounahra

                                        Chip count: 19,950,000
                                        Age: 49
                                        Country: Belize
Bounahra is the oldest player at the final table by far, and he is also likely the least accomplished, with about $50K in live tourney cashes in his career. Bounahra was one of the smallest stacks heading into the final day of play before the final table, and managed to stay the course to reach the November Nine.

                                        Pius Heinz

                                        Chip count: 16,475,000
                                        Age: 22
                                        Country: Germany
Heinz, playing in his first World Series of Poker, has made quite a splash. He made another final table in Vegas this summer, finishing seventh in a $1.5K event for $82K. Heinz made the final table despite being all-in preflop with KJ against John Hewitt’s AK. Heinz rivered a straight to stay alive, while Hewitt went on to bubble the final table.

                                        Anton Makievskyi

                                        Chip count: 15,325,000
                                        Age: 21
                                        Country: Ukraine
Anton Makievskyi is the youngest player at the final table, and he’ll be representing the Ukraine, which is having a huge WSOP. Four other Ukrainians have won bracelets this year. Makievskyi entered day 8 with the chip lead, but he actually lost chips over the course of play to become one of the short stacks heading into the final table.

                                        Samuel Holden

                                        Chip count: 13,725,000
                                        Age: 22
                                        Country: England
Holden’s first WSOP cash will be a doozy, as the youngster had never been in the money of a WSOP event. He is also known by the online handle SamDMND, and he has more than $200K in online cashes. Holden only has about $5K in live tourney cashes before this event.

Ben Lamb deserves to win the main event.

I say either O'Dea, Lamb and Collins will win this.
