You could be doing terrific research, checking all news sources, doing the best statstical analysis, finding an amazing 5% edge every match. Even then there's still a 3% chance of losing 5 in a row at around evens, or 0.1% chance of losing 10 in a row.

I agree with you here, but what we also can agree about is that SBR has no proper "record system" Its easy to write NBA 5-0 and adjust it when you feel for it and present a fake record (not saying you are doing it). What Im saying is that you can have an option where you add a game to your record, and after you resulted it, you can not adjust it. Sort of an extra feature in the forum. SBR will not be involved, only by adding this feature to the forum.
