The 2nd half has less innings so if the pitching was equal to the first half the line would still be lower. But the market is not always right especially something like 2nd half bases lines which 99% of books do not have.

there are 5 innings in the 1st half and 4 in the 2nd half. I guess this is more complicated because possible that the Astros only bat 3 times if they lead from the 5th on.

But whatever the sport the more innings or minutes you play if you have the better team the better chance you have to win basically is what I meant.

I understand that but I don't think that logic holds in baseball because if a team is favored by a certain number for a full game they're almost always favored by nearly the same number (often a slightly bigger number) for the first half. That's how the market prices it but again you may not agree with the market.
