Does anyone have a Wii?

We are thinking about getting one, but I don't know a thing about it other than you can exercise your fat ass while sitting in front of the TV. How much do they cost? Do you have to buy a zillion different accessories? How much do the games usually cost?

I have a WII. It is fun for parties and stuff. I don't play any games other than the one that came with it. I have the Tiger Woods game along with the FIT game. The excercise part of the WII Fit isn't all that. You get a work out with the game that comes with it (sports). If you have 300-400 to spend on a game system than it is decent.

its around $250 now a days. its almost everywhere so no waiting. basically you are already given the controller and nunchuks and the other accessories are optional but def not needed. games are around $50 each. its well worth the money. very addictive at first but gets bored after awhile. just stick with the wii sports cd that comes with it. it can keep you busy for weeks

agreed golf is fun as well. btw it only comes with 1 wii remote and 1 nunchuk. just go out buy an xtra one for $40

Those kinds of concepts are cool, kind of futuristic, but it needs to have something else to offer besides that and from what I've read it doesn't seem to. If PS3 comes out with some games which utilize that stuff, it's cool because they have all the regular games too.

Their control uses SIXAXIS (I think thats what is called), you can turn on in some games so you can use the controller movement to control certain movement in the game.

Thank you guys so much. We don't have any game systems, so I wouldn't have any clue where to start. I am a pretty retarded when it comes to learning all of the different functions to kick or punch, so in the past I have stuck with easy games like tetras. We usually go out a lot, but since everything is getting so freaking expensive, we are looking for something to do at home to save a little money.

So for the most part, you guys are saying that wii gets boring? xbox would be the better choice?

no, we are saying the wii is better when you have 2-4 people playing at all times... its a lot more fun, the games are designed for multiplayer. If your playing single player or just the two of you over and over again its going to get very boring very fast.

But if you have friends over a lot of the time then grab one. The wii is a lot of fun at parties...etc..

Buy the wii game.I dropped 20 pounds playing with it since christmas playing the boxing and the bowling.You do get a good workout from the boxing.I have been playing it an hour a day.
We had another couple over for dinner last night,we all ended up having a bowling tourney
