The person who needs to be fired, unfortunately is the one who did all the firing. J.P. Ricciardi is a joke who basically has assembled a team of overpaid bums who can't hit. And is paying two other players to hit for other teams. A new manager, hitting coach (3rd one in 6 months) and base coaches isn't going to change anything. This teams fortunes isn't going to change until he's the one who gets the axe!

Shouldn't have a baseball team there anyway.

First team to ever draw 4 million fans a season. I guess Toronto shouldn't have a team.

                  cobra,

toronto used to be great for baseball. yes, they drew 4 million yrs ago, but today, they struggle to bring in fans. the place is always half empty, or 3/4 empty. they can't sell out the cubs or the yanks, or the red sox. they keep drawing 20,000 fans alot, even for the big name teams.

there was no better baseball town than toronto in the 90's, but now, forget it. they will be gone soon... just like the expos are gone from mtl, tor is next.. it's a pure hockey town. they love their leafs.

and true, ricciardi should be gone.. what horrible moves he made. wtf is rolen, he's horrible. and eckstein has cost so many games defensively this year and can't hit the ball out of the infield.

                  this team is sh-t..

                      Nicky

Not true. Over 40,000 for the Cubs last sunday, 100,000 for the 3 games series. They don't sell the place out anymore, but how can anyone expect that with the shit that's been put on the field the last 15 years. Yes there are nights you get less than 20,000 but those are weeknight games against bottom feeders. That's a problem that most teams have. This team isn't going anywhere.

                        Rolen is good.

I can't help but think Cito is a step back. Just remembering back to when he used to leave pitchers in as they continued to get shelled. Memories of Todd Stottlemyre sweating like a pig, throwing 1 million pitches per game. I actually liked Gibbons' handling of the pitching staff.

God bless Cito Gaston and his native home of San Antonio

I doubt bringing Cito back will turn this team around at all. If anything it was more of a publicity thing in order to sell more tickets by trying to sell the fact the Blue Jays are on the road back to there "glory days".

I wish they fired this guy before they lost so much ground. I had the Jays 10-1 to win division, and until about a month ago they were in it. Dammit.
