Congress set to vote next week on Internet gambling ban
The House Committee on Financial Services will vote next Tuesday on HR 5767, a bill that would prohibit enforcement of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, which seeks to ban Internet gambling.

We need your help in rallying behind this legislation. If this bill passes, it could pave the way towards Congress legalizing Internet gambling.

Please tell your member of Congress to vote “Yes” on HR 5767. You can send an email your representative at www.safeandsecureig.org. To find your representative, click here.

    Thanks.

Does this differ from the previous bill which is largely beneficial to poker players, instead of sports bettors?

Who is your congressional representative, bettil? Thought I'd ask in case you're too busy to know that and needed me, your personal mod, to look it up for you. I sure hope it's not that goofy bitch Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, what a piece of work that bull dyke is. Always votes against any oil exploration off Florida's coasts but is A-OK, rooty-tooty fine with opening up the Arctic. Silly wench thinks the government is overstepping its authority with regards to banning gay marriage, but then turns around and supports making the Patriot Act permanent

Maybe it's that other hypenated screwball from around Dade County, Lincoln Diaz-Balart. He's another piece of work, damn I hope you haven't voted for either one of those turd merchants. The only good news is that neither can ever become president.

        God bless America

We have to face reality and the facts on this one.

I don't think the good old days of internet gambling will ever come back. The Indian casinos Vegas and Atlantic City are just too powerful and influential where they can pay the politicians off or threaten to expose them for god knows what if they vote to pass internet gambling.

The offshore gambling companies have been wounded too seriously from the ban to have much money to pay the politicians with bribes.
