i worked 8 months with a security company and ive been saving and thinking of starting a online business....now that nfl is 1 month away more or less i decided not to go to work make up an excuse blah blah blah to the point now the boss had fired me....now i plan on collecting unemployment while starting my business online......wish me luck on this move.....would like all the support.....

If you live in Wisconsin (an "at will" state), you can dispute your termination and still get unemployment, even though you were fired. State will call your employer and launch a little mini investigation to see if there were any wrongdoings or misconduct on your part (state is at will, but if the state finds that there was no misconduct, you can get unemployment) I know this from experience, in Wisconsin, and i know that there are several "at will" states that have this same system. However, not all states allow you to argue that you were unlawfully let go..just keep your head up and look for something better bro.

That's the way it should be enforced but since this country has pretty much gone to shit in every aspect, this area is no different... there are several fks around my parts that got axed from failing a drug test, to DUIs, etc. and those bums collect unemployment. The worst part about this whole mess is they go to the once a month CareerLinks building for their madatory meeting, go to one, two tops BS interviews where they act like tools, and continue on unemployment and milk it dry. Its a joke around my parts.
