Challenge - Find a lineup worse than San Diego
Find ANY past lineup (any team / any year --- use baseballreference.com) worse than the Padres current lineup and win 1000 points.

    Lineup

    W. Venable RF .241 2hr

    J. Bartlett SS .239 1hr

    A. Gonzalez 3B .203 1hr

    R. Ludwick LF .239 11hr

    O. Hudson 2B .230 1hr

    C. Maybin CF .259 5hr

    A. Rizzo 1B .161 1hr

    K. Phillips C .210 3HR

    D. Moseley P .120 0HR

This is pathetic! San Diego is an awful baseball town with no baseball history and no future. Tony Gwynn was fat as shit.

Heck man, I'm starting to realize the 2011 Pads might not even be in the top 10 all time worst... there were some bad clubs over the years.

Holy ****! so, you only had to go back 90 years? I should have said modern era! Seriosuly though, these motherfuckers should quit. Not one of them would start on a good team.

Off hand, I remember powerwise, the 1985 Cardinals not having a player in double figure home runs, but this Padres team ranks last in numerous categories. Simply awful

The GM has got to be a moron. I realize it's a pitchers park, but you need some bats. The lineup he has in place would suck even in the most favorable hitters parks. He has some trading chips on the pitching staff, so you have to use a couple of those and acquire some bats. Niglets.

what would make me upset if I was a Pads' fan from what you said above, is the few games I watched this year of them they have passed on moving runners up with sac bunts... I team lacking this offensive punch should never pass on moving a runner to 3rd

You hit the nail on the head. Runner on 2nd you need a hit. Runner on third all you need is a fly ball.

On 2nd thought.....they can't even hit it out of the infield

In the 4th grade our lineup struggled for power as we combined for only two homeruns on the year as a team at batted around 220 but other than that i've never seen or been around a lineup this bad. I preach it this is the worst lineup top to bottem i have saw in my life.

They have a $30mill payroll. If they Traded for A-rod, there would not be any money left to field an infield.

Just go north about 1300 miles in the present. Seattle are hitting .223 to to SD's .231. Seattle's offensive numbers are worse than the Pads in most categories.

Seattle's lineup is pretty awful. They haven't scored a run in 25 innings or something ridiculous.

Pads lineup is horrific but somehow they scored 11 today - thats what they usually put up in a week! I'll be playing the under in tomorrow's game.

I had pads -1.5, dbacks -1.5, and Stros -1.5 in a nice 3 teamer....fkn Backs only win by 1 because of a walk, only way the brutal Dodgers' O would have scored, Stros had a miracle cover, and the Pads rolled.... Pads didn't let me down it was the Dbacks tonight.
