Pinnacle - Customer Service Reps? Laughable!
For one of the most recommended books online these guys continue to unimpress.

The Pinny CS reps I've dealt with over the years via email have been some of the most arrogant koksuckers I've dealt with.
It's no wonder I play at other books (Centrebet, Canbet, Greek) more than Pinny.

Big thumbs down to the arrogant fvcks at Pinny.

I setup an account for my buddy, its opened yet unfunded.

Initially opened Pinny acct in US Dollars, wanted to use Instadebit, so had to switch to Canadian Dollars, after problems with Instadebit he needs to go back to US Dollars, makes it easier to move money around, other books are in USD (Matchy & 5Dimes).

Request to change currency denied by Pinnacle on a yet to be funded account, why? Because it was changed once already.

It's simple enough to make the switch, yes maybe they are a bit annoyed, but shouldn't they cut the customer some slack?

It wasn't a difficult request. The way they word their email replies make it sound like you need to beg them to do anything.

Just found out they converted the account as per our request, but it took 4 emails! (They berated him for asking again)

Like they are busy on a Thursday night with 3 baseball games going on and nothing else.

Ah, I can see where that would be frustrating. Sometimes books will be a little anal with certain rule enforcement, I'm sure they're not pulling an attitude out of thin air, there's probably some restriction they're abiding by. I think there are times a good customer service rep should use judgment though.

Edit- I see they've now accommodated your pal..

The rules clearly state you can only change currency once. That's what you agree to when you sign up. I've never had any probs with pinny CS. They have been rather helpful and lightning fast to respond. Only gripe I have with them lately is that there server is no good, and their website has been going down more than usual.

Nope, it doesn't mention amount of times you can change currency, it only specifies that the account must not have been funded to change currency.

My point was they are arrogant in their responses.

Can I change my current account to another currency?

"Yes, but only if your account has never been funded. Please contact our Customer Service Department by e-mail at csd@pinnaclesports.com including details of your Client ID and the new currency you would like to change your account to.

If you have ever made a deposit to your Pinnacle Sports account, the currency cannot be changed. However, a new Pinnacle Sports account may be opened to replace your existing account. Please advise our Customer Service Department by e-mail at csd@pinnaclesports.com and include your existing Client ID and your new currency preference.

Any funds held in your existing account will be converted to your preferred currency using the daily OANDA inter-bank and transferred to your new Pinnacle Sports account. Please note that there will be a surcharge of 2.75% of the total amount transferred."

The one thing I hate about pinny is the same thing I hate about ****ing ebay. If you have a problem, you have to send a ****ing email. How retarded is that?
If something is wrong i am probably freaking out and I want to talk to someone asap and I will call them up and try to resolve the situation. I hate waiting for a canned email response.
Shouldn't be that hard to get a couple phone operators on duty. The sites make enough ****ing money off of us as it is

Yes their email replies can be amusing.

Last week I got one that said I had to email them from the address listed on my account. Which is fine accept that I had sent the email from that address.

and it seems that their site is down again. I have had issues almost every morning this week. Pinny the shadow of what it used to be.

edit: just able to get their site up now.

Well, I had to remind them that in fact my deposit had been cleared by 5 banking business days and that I was allowed to withdrawl after they had sent me an e-mail telling me I couldn't withdrawl. I had to get them to grade a few horse wagers, and they changed the pick3 rules, whereby you don't get a refund on scratches, you get the post time favorite. I hate that.
