New Theory: "Just bet the opposite of what you were thinking"
It dawned on me that i have lost year after year after year. It is proven that 98% of us lose over time. If this is the case, why in the hell would we just keep picking games like we do and then just key in the opposite when we go to make the bet. I would suggest keeping your betting units just as you normally would. I realize this is a weird theory but I think I will be tyring it this football season.

First it's important to make the right evaluations of your handicapping.

Are you a TV-hunch bettor? What kinds of research do you do? Do you just watch ESPN and go with the gut? Do you simply look at a few trends which agree with your hunch? etc, etc, etc.

Next up is line shopping, are you getting the best possible #? Are you shortchanging yourself? If you can try to hone in on your market scanning, and avoid the typical pitfalls associated with losing handicapping, there's NO need to fade yourself ever!

I'm thinking Turkey will beat Croatia tomorrow because Germany upset Portugal today. This is why I loaded up on Croatia. Let's prove the validity of this theory.

From the sound of your initial post you would better spend your time just flipping a coin. The reason you lose is more likely that you can't beat the vig, not that you are so bad that you lose 52.4% or more of the time against the spread.

It indeed doesn't work. If you suck, you'll likely find that you're actually disappointingly average: exactly as good as if you picked randomly. And so if you fade yourself it's also the same as picking randomly. You lose the juice.

You just bet both ways, so all you lose is the juice
