Million Dollar Question? Why Does Matchbook Not Have Heavy Volume?
If they have low juice and you need only to pick like 51% winners to hang in there shouldn't there be way more volume? Don't guys want to win or is the traditional American way of betting just too popular?

I think every bettor should have a matchbook account.

Too many people want other options, like parlays and props. They'll stick to just one book where they can get it all.

cause guys want to make the bet not, and you can't hang your offer and leave the computer/t.v. cuz then news can break on you. Also I make few full game bets without buying points, and usually someone will have the extra half anyway, they are not useful to me except for live

humanly impossible to wager this time of the year in alot of sports, like tennis, without parlays.a dull time of the year for me in wagering without the action from tennis.

matchbook is great for live wagering like the europeans have for live wagering but parlays[multis] are a must in tennis wagering.

            cheers

They don't have enough volume to get more volume. Posting offers is hard (unless you are willing to either get stuck with a bad number or get no action depending on how the game moves) and people who just come in and bet often suck liquidity out of the market instead of adding to it. The ability to come in and make a large wager at any time is the biggest advantage a sportsbook has over MB.

You can easily wager 5 or 6k and I bet you that 85% of the time you'll get a better line than Olympic or 5dimes

75% of the time you would even get a better line at matchbook compared to pinnacle.

Rake: You are pulling those numbers out of your ass.

I know how often I can get good action there and how often I can't. I love Matchbook but I refuse to make it out to be something it is not. It isn't a panacea and it doesn't allow you to bet NOW. By the time volume shows up your side might not be nearly as profitable. That is a significant weakness.

Volume begets volume and right now there is very little.

matchbook does allow you to bet it now, either you request what you want and someone will match it or you take someone else's offer. Plenty of money is going around to easily cover what you want to bet. Usually closer to game times there is a lot more money available to bet.

Yes closer to game times the liquidity goes up. Furthermore, the vig drops (in terms of width between offers).

But saying someone will match you is a load of crap. Someone MIGHT match you.

As for taking someone else's offer, sure, you can do that, but it might be fairly small, or perhaps it isn't there at all. Matchbook is as good as its players make it and that can vary a great deal.

first, they only accept USD as currency i believe, with so many people betting in the Uk and Euro zone why can't they have those currencies available too?
