That does look like a tough schedule, Doc.

I like the Bungals over 7 1/2 getting +124. They have enough firepower to hammer out 8 wins.

I can assure you they are a 10 win team this year! I watched every game last year, and there only real downfall was their d-line which has been highly upgraded. The whole division got worse they got better.

Agree with that, probably worth a play.

Also, barring an injury of Brady they are a virtual "cinch" to win their division, which I saw like -800 on last I checked.

I wouldn't touch the Bengals with a ten foot pole. There is no way to know how the Chad Johnson situation is going to play out. I think that Marvin Lewis could lose this team pretty quickly if the Chad Johnson thing divides the locker room. And all that firepower didn't get them but 7 games last year.

They might go over 7.5 but it's way too volitile a situation for me to put my money on the Bengals.

Step away from the crack pipe, my man!!

They don't have a QB (having three bad ones doens't count). They don't have a running back that anybody else in the league wants. They have no wide outs that strike fear in the hearts of D co-ordinators in the league. The ONLY offensive weapon they have is Devon Hester.

And I'm not sure that they've upgraded their defense as much as you think they have.

But if you think their a 10 win team, then the over 8 bet must look like stealing candy from a baby to you!

Nobody thought the Packers would win that division last year either. Who knows what'll happen now, Minnesota has no QB, GB really doesn't, and Detroit always hits the wall half way through the year or sooner. Not as much value on the o/u on that one as people may think at a glance.

As has been well doumented, the Pats have one of the easiest schedules in the league this year. As I look at their schedule, I don't see but three potential losses. As long as Brady stays healthy, 13-3 seems like the very worst they can do.

Yeah the surgery was just yesterday but they say it was minor and he'll be ready to roll for training camp.

To get 8 wins they have to nearly run the table on the division which is really hard to do for an avg team. They would need a miracle season to get 9 wins. They will likely start in a 0-4 hole. So to lose this bet they would have to finish 9-3.

This line looks like a knee-jerk reaction to Favre retiring, but don't forget that the defense is still strong and Grant emerged as a nice RB. I see no reason why they won't finish over .500, especially in NFC North.
