Why do posters use the word "we" when discussing a play?

I've noticed this trend recently, and it is starting to tickle me the wrong way.

For example
--we are on the Celtics tonight
--we are pounding the over

Is this to imply you are part of a syndicate, representative of a friend, or just plain have multiple personality disorder?

Please discontinue the usage of "we" in this context immediately...

I've wondered this for quite sometime maybe someone could shed some light on this.

Well the first I dont understand, the 2nd I do. When a game is in play and being discussed and someone is like "we are ready to hit the over" or whatever, its refering to the "team" of bettors who also are betting whatever party is being discussed. However, when people (not naming names, Big Orange Titans ) say "We are on the Over" for instance, and they are posting a regular hadicapper, maybe it gives whoever that feeling of being an actual company.

I think that they ARE trying to put a sutle hint that they are part of some bigger picture. ie betting syndicate,wise guys, computer group, New york, the list is endless.

But I can tell you that those types of people are not cruising this Forum looking for picks to use and they are certainly not going to post what their plays are for us to see. They have just enough time in theor day and night to to their homework and then get the money down in multiple places in unison.

The only way those picks make it to this board is if they give a bone to a poster that is a friend or someone running for them tips their hand to a poster here.

I think a few posters using the "we" may also be in the tout business and that is a nice subtle way to breach the topic here in this Forum, without ever coming right out and saying. I HAVE PICKS for you.

Lot's of touts do this as well and it's supposed to make you think that it is a better pick because supposedly two or more minds are on it. Have you ever noticed how all this touts are former doctors and lawyers and it's all designed to make you think when you pay for a pick is coming from a very intelligent and knowledgeable person.
