#15Zambrano is very intense, Garza has to be pissed he has pitched like shiat all year, he finally pitches a good one and doesn't get the win.Comment -

#21and the fans still fill up the stadium, its mind boggling. they need to boycott this cubs team so the ricketts family actually makes some meaningful changes. If 40,000 fans come out to watch a loser team and put money in the owners' pockets then why change anything.Comment -

#23I loved the win tonight, but they only beat the Cubs and they are still 4 games under .500. They would need a helluva second half to make the wild card.Comment -

#27.ricketts is banking on the tourists/non-cubfans to attend right now, because there have been a lot of empty seats this season. a lot of the true fans are finally starting to make their feelings known by not attending, definitely more than past years when the team was terrible. those of us who have followed the team our whole lives are sick of this pathetic crap. I live 14 hours away, but i usually try to make at least one series trip to Wrigley, but not this year. They're not getting my money for this sorry product on the field and in the dugout.
I could've sworn I heard Harry Doyle announcing this game in the 9th...Comment -

#28That's a good point. There have to be better things to do in Chicago than going to see your hometown team get its brains beaten in.Comment -

and btw, marmol has what i like to call the "cubs curse". you can have the best arm in the world but eventually on the north side it goes the way of prior, wood, zambrano, etc or leaves in prime form like madduxComment -

#33the cubs probably would have found a way to ruin maddux if he stayed. Unbelievable the arms this team has had and zero success. But when a portion of your fan base really prefers to be "the loveable losers", what do you expect.
