Makes perfect sense. I was putting larger wagers down and now that I'm practicing good money management it sucks when I look at the bets I'm putting in now.

Dont let these high rollers get over on you average players. I'd say 90% of all sports bets made offshore are less than $101.
Good points and interesting info regarding bet size averages. Are you free to share average bet size at Pinnacle both pre and post US ban last year?

If you have 25k credit you do have leverage and can bet $500 a game, I knew there were games today and have a 25k credit line at Jazz and did not make a bet.

I actually dont know their bet size avg now but I could find out. Pinnacle's avg was skewed as were the other two Grande and CRIS because all three acted as a clearing house to other bookies. They would absorb imbalances from smaller books. If you stripped out that action then I would put their avg bet in the upper $200's.

I would think strictly credit operations the average bet must be at least $100

If you have a bankroll of 10k your bets should be no more than 100 a game (1% of roll) on normal bets maybe 2-300 on extremely confident bets, betting 500 game on normal bets will have you barrelled in suckin old men off for rent money in no time

this thread illustrates why sportsbooks are a lucrative business, the reason some are able to offer low juice.

That average bet for Pinnacle would be nice to know both before and after the books imbalances (which is also very interesting to learn). Thanks John.

If betting's your life, then of course, you ain't gonna feel nothing from small bets. I enjoy small bets as a bit of fun, especially 4 team accumulators.

I bet big ocassionally, but only to trade out at some point during the game.

I don't bet a nickel a game for reasons already stated in this thread.

My bankroll isn't nearly big enough.

                            Bankroll management FTW

My bet size has grown with the size of my bankroll. Im working on bankroll management cause my bet sizes are not what they are for my bankroll. Then again i love spending and blowing money so if I kept my roll intact then it would be right.

The past 2 weeks, I was betting $2000-$3000 a game......Cashed out and now playing small wagers.......Guess what, I'm sweating the $200 bet as much as I would be on a $3000 bet........I am glad cause I want to stay at the $50-$300 level and be happy with it, instead of going crazy over monster bets.

I have never had a bankroll or set amount I will play with. If I lose all the money in my account I just reup. Lately I have been wagering about 3-6 games per day at $500.00 per game. I have a local as well but I do not like the way he operates, although I never have a hard time collecting. I just see everyone talking about a bankroll. Am I the only one who doesn't even think about what my amount is I am playing with?
