I think the rules should be looked at to avoid a sites paid posters from going to the bash with the intent of poaching.

The SBR team has been to bashes and respected them like the guests we were. Its fairly obvious the EOG has been a little short on business ethics lately or has become desperate. Probably a combination of the two. And that's fine. SBR and TheRx have never resorted into trying to sway posters away from another forum or paying a small army of yes men to appear busy.

So my opinion is that sites that have demonstrated their business tactics include poaching should be uninvited. I will be at TheRx Bash the week prior as usual. Its a week before ours at the same casino. Some of their posters and managers are staying the week to attend our bash so it will be a lot of fun.

As far as Ken going, maybe he can reconsider his choice and choose TheRx bash or throw his own. Hmm, A bash with all paid posters...thats a funny thought.

At this point, just cancel the damn thing. Whose brilliant idea was it to invite Shrink for 100 posts. It's a slap in the face for everyone that shot for 1000. Why make a special exception for him. Rules are rules...you forgot your fan base.

Bashes are a LOT of fun. I actually won the Rx poker tournament one year and a few thousand bucks to boot. Played golf with theRx guys and lost some of that cash. Everyone got along great. Will do the same this year too.

I wish it could be that way with the EOG and one day maybe it will. When SBR moved past them last year they took it personally. What we have seen lately is a desperate attempt to not lose more ground. They are becoming devious which of course they call good business. In the end the posters will see through it and the paid posters coma inducing. There are no shortcuts; create great content and work hard then posters will show without having to be paid.

Fellas we will be in Vegas during football season for The Shrink to make his plays for the Leroy's contest...It would be nice if we could get some guys together during this trip.

But a Bash is not in the works as of today....

The Devil and myself have also talked about a trip to Atlantic City for some golf and gambling, but no date has been set!

The industry is not at a level right now....to allow for such a large gathering. The cost of such a party would be thru the roof...but things could be better for 2009.....
