Any fellow Ford car owners here?$6 a share.Ford's security alarms=trouble!
I own a Taurus and even though it's been a fairly reliable car I consider it junk!Taurus's aren't designed for short or old people with limited reach.I'm 6'2''and it's hard for me to grasp a wide open door.Very poor engineering. The fan-heater-air conditioners are really unreliable. They go out in the worst possible moments when it's 40 below or 100 above. They just mysteriously pop back on when they want to.If you have a warranty and bring the car in,the garage looks at you like you are at fault even though you are a stickler for maintaining the car.

Last but not least and the most important part of my post is this. How in the hell could a person get away on the sly in a Ford Taurus if an armed intruder got in your house and you wanted to make a quick get away without being noticed from your garage or driveway? The damn things are like My mother the car or the car Kip on Night Rider!!!They have a mind of their own and lock the doors automatically, turn the lights on when they feel like, make buzzers ring and make the security device blast the horn.I'm sure it was an act of congress that made these car companies implement these safety devices but there has to be allot of people murdered each year in this country because they couldn't get away from a bad guy without being noticed.

Has anyone else ever shared these thoughts on why these security devices could be bad news for your well being in an emergency situation?

Rake,it's a 2002 with the leather interior.Another sad mistake buying leather where in a rain storm by just getting in the damn car it seems to get flooded. You always have to keep allot of nice absorbant towels in the back set.The car is an engineering nightmare the way it's designed. It cruises so damn nice though on northern Minnesota to Las Vegas trips. It's actually a joy to ride on the open 4 lanes.

I work in the industry, mainly building structures ( truck frames), and I can tell you that Ford is the worst American company. Sadly not by far but still the worst. Usually before a car is run out for production, there are 4 or 5 prototype builds of the car to make sure that every part can me made and assembled correctly and accurately. At least that is what happens with Toyota, Honda, Nissan, VW, and Landrover, all of which I have done business with. The american companies go through the same prototype process but somehow at the end of the protype build and right before the release for production they get a great idea that fucksup everything. I've been doing this for about 20 years and it happens everytime. Hell I don't really put to much emphasis on the prototype builds anymore because I know the last hour changes are coming. By a Toyota, Honda, or a VW. They are more american than the american companies. Seriously check it out most of the american cars are made either in mexico or Canada.

Ford is doing great here in Europe. I think it should sell their american operation and just bail out.
