but i actually love my life more now than i ever did in my 20s

and nothing to do with my son (although that's obviously a big plus but not what i'm talking about); i just feel more confident in how i think and what i look like

that's why i've been stuck here longer than i'd thought

immigration and legal stuff is a bitch because i was only a temp resident

they had to make sure i didn't just come here and squat to have a baby so i'd have an aussie

although i had a plane ticket out of here and my son just decided to arrive 2mths early

but as soon as he did, 55 other bureaucratic bullshit processes came into it

he just needed to hold out for 10 more days when i was due to fly out and i would've been home free and in north america but he couldn't or he'd die so it was just one of those weird life trade offs again
