This was the first thread I saw when I just logged on and I was sitting there reading through thinking that surely some poster was going to pop in and explain.
Wonder if these threads are going to start each time the Become a Pro link pops up under someone's name but they can still transfer more than 2 pts? Gotta love SBR. Some of these guys are worse than old women sitting on their porch gossiping. All the need is some crochet needles and wool

why would the become a pro link pop up- it should be renew a pro status link or something- its the same as non-pros....youre acting like everyone should automatically not associate that string of 3 words with what its always meant in that location- in concordance with the absence of the words "sbr pro"Comment -
Because that would require extra programming that's not required. Especially after Lou has been saying for weeks when questioned repeatedly that you'll know when it's time to renew because the link will be active under your name. And if someone chooses not to renew, then the link will stay the same. Under your way, even more programming would have to go in to switch the link over from Renew to Become a Pro after that person's 30 days has expired. Not much point in that when most people do pay attention to info posted.Comment -

Please explain then why all the people who first signed up for pro, are still listed as being a pro, unlike JJ. And please do not tell me they all renewed as at least one of them has not posted since January so I doubt he already renewed.

The program didn't even start until August meaning there's no possible way for JJ's membership to have expired yet. If those people signed up before JJ, why would JJ have lost his membership before them if they haven't renewed or advised SBR that they're not going to? People have been getting renewal notices via email 30 days before they're due to expire.
In fact, even an amateur detective would've checked JJ's points history to see that he was still collecting 12 pts today if they were convinced he shouldn't have been able to transfer more than 2 as a "non Pro".Comment -

And Arsenal, I'm not going to check everyone's points log but look at Sactown. He's the first Pro ever. He rarely posts here but if you check out his points history on July 5th you'll see he renewed his Pro Membership already until 2012 because he received some sort of bonus. But I'll still double check with Lou that the system is working how it should.

Pretty sick that a moderator needs to call people freaks and weirdos unless you have built up a friendship to talk that way. It's obvious the people at this forum cannot come to moderators for answers without being told how degenerate they are. I think moderators should be above this. So the next way people get answers is discussing it among themselves, which could produce all sorts of imaginary and random thoughts.
The lameness about programming is a joke, it takes one more if statement, to change it from 'if a pro display - sbr pro, if not a pro display - become a pro', to 'if sbr pro in 12th month of membership, display renew SBR Pro membership, else if a pro display - sbr pro, else if not a pro display - become a pro'. This was a good suggestion by someone on this forum that could be brought up to the powers that be, not for you to diss.
People behave as if this jjgold is prince charles or something, I mean having 100,000 posts from one individual is alot of talking. So people here at SBR are concerned if he is or is not an SBR Pro. If this was tv instead of a forum, I am sure this topic would have been on TMZ after the Casey Anthony story.Comment -
eberetta, I indeed consider the people in this thread my friends. This is how I talk in PT when people are assuming there's a conspiracy going on and saying I'm going to spin it like Bodog Becky apparently would. When someone asks me a serious question, they get a serious response as you can see in the SBR Pro renewal thread. This was not a serious thread. And anyone who knows me from my time posting here is well aware that if people are going to have a go at me in fun, I'll give it right back. It's a two way street which isn't going to change just because I have the word Moderator under my name.
If you feel that was a good suggestion and is important to be implemented, then you should post it in the Site Suggestion forum or even better yet PM an Admin. I assume they've used this process for a reason as they don't tend to just make random decisions around here. However if you feel otherwise and this would be a good way to improve the process, then feel free to give your input. They're always looking for feedback and open to suggestions.Comment -
