The Spurs are a better matchup with the Celtics, Duncan on Garnett, Bowen on Pierce

They were great. But not as good as the 2003 Spurs. Also Detroit had a great defensive team in 2005 but were nipped by the spurs in a near dead heat. I would say both were better than the 08 celtics on defense anyway.

Ray Allen didn't play well in the first two series is why. Once he found his stroke, everything else took care of itself.
