Nothing bad is happening noties. It really is just undergoing maintenance and it's better to do it now in the summer when the forum is a bit slower.

Feds are after SBR. Looking over the books relating to previous sportsbook cash redemptions. Maintenance doesn't require a 2 week shutdown. Something major is going down. All our information is probably being handed over to the feds as we speak.

they've got to change the software around to account for the new rules where all sports-book winnings will be required to be rolled over in the sports-book 5 times before they can be withdrawn.

I Get the feeling the sportsbook will be up by early next week. They threw out the later date just to be on the safe side.

Are you kidding? 5 times roll on sportsbook winnings?

Not too bad. Only reason I still have points. Sportsbook being down has been good to me.

This could be a good thing. Once sbr stops giving stuff away all the freeloaders and broke fukks will leave.

Didn't some poster call the FBI or something?
Drawing the FBI's attention to a matter can't be a good thing, can it?

The improvements will increase capacity, improve poker stability, increase speed of lines and bring us a wide range of improvements. Its tough to run on stand-by power like we are doing now. This is the first system wide over haul we have had.

You're going to lose this one so I'll give you 2 just for being the first to try.

The purpose of the points sportsbook from SBR's point of view is to get people hooked on betting so they will ultimately deposit into a real sportsbook with real money.
It is kind of like a crack dealer giving out free crack in order to get people hooked and charge them money after that.
Unfortunately, for some people (myself included), this has had the opposite effect. They use the SBR sportsbook as a substitute for betting real money and a way gently ween themselves off of real gambling (Brock Landers.)
This little two week break for an "upgrade" is really just a way to cut guys like me and Brock off from gambling for free, in order to get us to post up at a real book (preferrably an SBR sponsored one) and get back to losing real money instead of just points.
I don't blame SBR at all for doing this, I just wish they were more upfront about it.

Im sure the upgrade is for a good reason. Just enjoy the time to save up your points before you blow them all in the casino.

+1
i summed it up yesterday the best i could in another forum: (last post)
emoney is most likely correct. Being upfront would be a better option like telling the non-pros that they're second class citizens by taking away all of their privileges. Regardless, SBR benefits people and they're also benefited by having certain members. Give and take. No problem with that.
