I went to a Yankees/Sox game last month at Yankee Stadium. Was sitting in the first section of right field about 5 rows up. Yankee fans were giving JD Drew a bunch of crap the whole game (F*ck you, JD Drew!). During the game they had to escort just about every obvious Sox fan in the upper right field bleachers to new seats because they were being harrassed so badly (good-natured harrassment it appeared because some of the Yankee fans were hugging the Red Sox female fans as they were moving). And the Yankee fans near me were pretty cool (I had my Sox hat on as I'm from Massachusetts originally); they said you only get verbally abused at Yankee Stadium, but that Yankee fans at Fenway get physically abused (don't know, haven't been to a Sox/Yankees game at Fenway in over 30 years).

Then after the Sox beat them once again, I get on the subway to go back to Manhattan and some young Hispanic gangbangers wearing Sox apparel start yelling "Boston Red Sox baby World Champs" and sh*t like that. I thought some of the Yankee fans were going to get into it with them, but they just glared at them. An interesting experience.

Not all Yankee fans are bad. I went to a game a few years ago at Yankee stadium and sat next to, and talked with two very nice guys all game. Horrible gramatical sentence lol. Anyway, they were great. However, after the game was over I got shit from some guy for wearing a Boston goodie and I told him he was a last place pussy(yanks were in 5th at the time). My dad had to step in and shove the guy off. I was like 13 and this 28 year old was gonna try to kill me.

same thing i live in CT red sox fans are the absolute worst. No matter what they are the best and they come up with the most unique excuses everytime they lose. yankee fans are just not like that

i was at a yankees sox game 2 years ago sitting at end of the row at fenway. had a bet on a n arod prop no yankees stuff on. he hit a bomb to center field i said get out of here. lil punk 21 yr old fan picked up on it and started laying into me I took it for an inning then he shut up. 2 inning later he started again for no reason i stood up and said to him If you say 1 more fuckin word its gonna take all 33000 of these fans to stop me from beating you and your bf. never said another word

Be fair, they do know their sports, especilly baseball, but they were so much easier to deal with before 2004.

anyone criticizing a city because of stereotypes of that they are proud that they are good, you are stupid. Any city would be happy if they were winning all the time, especially in every sport.
