    Safin is +21000

This guy beat Federer in Aussie Open 2 yrs ago.
Safin is the type to either get eliminated in first round or get to the semis. At +21000, throw a few buck on him!

Waste of money, honestly. Safin is way too goddamn mentally inconsistent to not only get past Federer, but NADAL too?

What is Federer at now, 61 consecutive wins on grass? Marat Safin is going to beat him on his best surface? LOL.

I am telling you, I made a sucker bet on Nadal even though I got 4-1, the entire media is all over Nadal, everyone I know is on Nadal. That means one thing, the best player EVER on grass will defend his title.

Agree, I stressed the mentally inconsistent point, but he's just not plain good enough to hypothetically have to beat Roger Federer and then Rafael Nadal. Better off spending this $ in an online casino.

Safin is a good play once in awhile at + odds. But from my experience with him this year, once he becomes a fave of over -150 by the books - steer clear.

                  +21000
                  That's $1 to win $210

Have one less cup of coffee and you can make $420. Of course Safin is not a favorite, but if he can crush Djokovic, I think he is not a 210-to-1 dog. Meanwhile they have Roddick at what, +1000? Come on.

The last +15000 that actually cashed in professional sports was Greece winning Euro2004 and it probably will never happen again in the history of sports. That is betting on Safin is like throwing money in the toilet, even $1.

I think it is hard to get a feel for how good Safin's chances are. Anytime you think they're worse than 20-to-1 you forget about it. Yes Safin is a has been and Federer is great on grass, but 210-to-1 is good value. If he can beat Djoko like he did and keep playing that well, he has a good chance. We will see what happens in the semis w/ Federer ;]

Well, anything can happen in sports, but I think it's a better idea to back Safin +games in that case and hope for a close one.

Heres what I did...I put $100,000 on Safin at +21000. I paid 10 million to a team of hitman that will assinate nadal, fed, roddick Djoko. Which leaves me about 11 million left.

                            Easy money boys.

Its not going to happen but putting five bucks on it for fun, why not
Could even hedge it out later if he wins a couple more matches and still make a good chunk

I don't know that Safin warrants all this stock being invested in him. Sure, take a shot on the big odds if you like, but do so for other reasons than his performance today. A bit of an overreaction here, he's defeated the #3 player sure, but getting through the #1 player in the world on grass, and then the #2 player is asking a bit much I think. Especially for a guy who is as mentally up and down as Marat Safin.

Indeed, if he makes it to semis vs. Fed I could prolly scalp for mild profit, but won't.
