I just said that jeter was voted the most overrated player in baseball and its true. He was voted that, plus if he played in houston or kansas city he would have no rings and benched.

Biggio got mentioned for 1 second when he got his 3k hit. I could keep going but he is an average shortstop and a below average fielder even in his prime

Im not taking anything away from his accomplishments when i say he was overrated. I also mentioned that griffey jr was overated and got bashed for that

no, jeter is not an 'average' shortstop; yes he was always a below average defender, but he was also one of the top hitting SS's of all time. Making him one of the better shortstops ever.

Maybe he is overrated by those who have minimal baseball knowledge, but so is Ryan Howard.

while thats some what true, offensively Jeter was a better hitter, and while Biggio wasn't quite as bad a fielder as jeter, but jeter remains at SS am extensively more difficult position than 2B or LF where Biggio's iron glove got tucked away for the last 5/6 years of of career.
