The issue is not showing the naval or not or if modeling itself is haram or not but the whole idea of modeling and the environment of it is not liked in Islam .
First of all is not a good career , not a respected job a good Muslim should do , most of the people who are working in that field are usually corrupt. Women will stare at you , enchanted by your looks and your show , this is not right in Islam ,
