How awesome is the sport of baseball?

I know many here think it's boring, and in Canada I am certainly in the minority when I say this, but baseball is the king of sports. It is just a beautiful game of strategy, luck and finesse. Take the time to watch a game -- each and every pitch. You will come to see why this game is what it is. Boring? My friend, you've no idea. This game is as good as it gets. There is no feeling like watching a classic pitcher's duel between two rival clubs. I can't imagine how wonderful it must be to actually play in the MLB.

I'm with ya. I'm from Toronto and felt like a bit of a freak being baseball-obsessed. Further, I'm not a Leafs fan; I follow the Raptors instead. I live in Connecticut now and it is so cool being around people who talk about baseball in the summer instead of what moves the Leafs are going to make.

How can you compare baseball to football or basketball?

Hell even watching a great tennis match is more exciting than watching a 3 hour, sometimes longer match of baseball.

Love football, crazy, but baseball takes the cake for me. Each and every pitch is a battle -- a chess match.

baseball is by far the best sport.. people like all my friends who say baseball is boring, only say this because they dont understand it fully. you have to understand the game from a to z to appreciate it. it is a game of strategy and each pitch means something.. 3-2, is he expecting the fast ball, slider, changeup.. great game.. moving runners to 2nd, sac flys, bunts, great game..

baseball is like chess. i hate chess and i find it very boring.. that's only because i dont understand it.. but people who love chess tell me it's the greatest game ever. it's exactly like baseball. if you dont understand it 100%, forget it, you'll never like it.

Its a good radio sport. Not as good as boxing so maybe a solid #2 for radio. The All Star game is a must watch on TV.

I am biased since I played baseball all the way through college, but I love it. It is by far my favorite sport. So many games within games with strategy and what not. With the MLB.tv, if I am home, there is usually a game streaming that I am watching.

Unfortunately I do not get out to as many games as I would like to. Nothing beats going to a Dodgers game and eating a grilled Dodger Dog.

Baseball drives you nuts bettin on it. The errors, not getting guys in from 3rd with 1 out, so many crazy ways to lose. It's a grind and a bitch

I agree with both points Illusion. I wish the leagues had the same rules. I don't like the DH as it takes out a lot of the strategy.
