Thing is this guys, the NBA realizes the error of their ways.

They'll continue fixing playoff games when they want, but they will be more careful about monitoring the FT disparities and ensuring games stay balanced enough throughout so that it doesn't rely on them manufacturing a huge 4th Q.

The reason Boston had some more FT's game 5 was so that with 3:30 left and it a 1pt game, they can call fouls on BOS 3 straight times and if you look at the box score or FT stats, joe public/law enforcement types have no leg to stand on..

In the midst of what could be a huge scandal with the Donaghy allegations, the NBA is not nearly stupid enough to tamper with this game. If the Lakers win, it'll be from outplaying the Celtics and getting the bounces, NOT the fix.

Right on brother! That's what my other thread was trying to nip in the bud. It's a big IF that LA wins games 6 & 7, but IF they do then people need to STFU about a fix - particularly with game 7.

The NBA is not going to try to force 7. After the debacle that just went over the Lakers/Kings, these refs are going to be on their best behavior. I'm sure the Feds will be watching tonight.......they talked to Timmy D for a reason.

Interesting predicament the league finds themselves in if they are really concerned about the image of a fix now.

On one hand, one would normally expect the home team (Bos) to benefit from the calls, so if that should happen some will cry "fix".

On the other hand, one would normally expect the league to desire a game 7, so if that should happen some will cry "fix".
