I've heard some say they do. They need a loss to feel as if their still alive. Any truth to this? Do you know someone like this?

#6tons of guys win at certain sports from time to time...if you arent modeling/middling/scalping/arbing, you are going to lose long term... guys who think they have a "system" or a "better feel" than others, unfortunately, are only fooling themselves.

#10yes, why else would anyone gamble. You do it to lose money. I love losing money. When I'm bored, I take a walk and "accidentally" drop $100 bills on the sidewalk and walk away.Comment -

#18No one will admit it. But I have heard that there is something scientific to this theory. Gamblers deep inside want to lose. I feel like I want to win money, but who knows I guess. Everybody is messed up.Comment -

#19People gamble because they want to WIN, or at least, feel what it's like to be a winner. They want to be good at it and they will risk their money trying.
More often than not, after losing money on a wager a gambler will continue to keep betting in hopes of recouping their losses.
So how can it be a matter of "wanting to lose"?Comment -
