One argument could be how well Colorado hits vs. Hudson... BUT.... Helton is 9-13 lifetime vs him and hes not even playing... Tulo is 4-9 vs him and hes not even playing.

Outside of Giambi, (Who IS hitting 8-19), the lineup is 3-16 lifetime vs. Hudson. Not only is this Rockies team struggling, they are also facing an excellent pitcher who is in form (3 ER in last 20 IP), pitching during the day which is when he is at his best (2-0, 1.5 era this year in 5 starts... 10-3, 2.5 era 20 starts last 3 years) and most of them haven't even faced him in there careers.

On the other side is a rookie pitcher who has given up 13 ER in 16 IP with a WHIP of 1.50 on the road this season..Hes coming off a start where he had his most pitches ever (111) .Also, they have limited his amount of pitches (only over 100 twice this season)... so ATL is likely to see the mediocre Colorado bullpen early... Also keep in mind, the start following his previous high of pitches, he got rocked.. giving up 6 runs, 7 hits and 2 walks in 4.2 IP.


But yeah... if you wanna bet on a matchup like that, go right ahead. I'm sure your bookie must love you.

Just my two cents but the only stat I look at is whether a pick seems "too obvious" one way or the other. And then I bet against what is obvious. Had Brian given me the stats he posted earlier before I made a decision on this game myself - I would have bet Colorado all day. And I am up almost 30 units this year in baseball alone. .....
