already thin starting pitching took a major hit. Look at the Jays or Rays futures.

I'm guessing the Steinbrenners pull out their checkbook and go buy a replacement.

The problem is that they don't have anyone to trade for. Unless a team is willing to pick up ARod for a couple pitcher starters.

No. The dude hasn't even had the MRI done on his foot yet. False information is great. Stuff I have read indicates the Yanks think it might be a Lis Franc injury which would be just as bad.

It makes no sense to have AL pitchers even try to get a base hit or do anything other than bunt, they will expend energy if they do happen to get on base and you always run the risk of potential injuries. Not worth it, especially for your ace.

If the Yankees makie a move for Sabathia or something now... boy are they going to look stupid after blowing getting after Santana. They're going to have to do something.

So the real prognosis is 6 weeks to start with because of a partially torn tendon not a broken foot like the slapdick who started this thread claimed.

Wang will be in a protective boot for six weeks. That’s July 28. He would need at least four weeks to get his arm back in shape to pitch - assuming that he is fully healed after six weeks.

This pretty much worst-case scenario for the Yankees. If Wang is not out for the season, he is out until at least September. Their options are to try and make up 18 or so starts internally or make a trade.

You have to assume he is out for the season. Six weeks in a boot means no playing catch, no conditioning. Even if he is fully healed by that point, it will take a while to get back in pitching shape.

Slapdick, ESPN watcher, it's all the same.

No I would feel special if I worked for ESPN and ****ed up information as much as they do ... oh yeah, they don't do news, just entertainment. Forgot.
