Fosters is scary bad. It is a shame really, Aussies do brew good beer. Foster's just isn't one of the good Aussie brews.

Gotta disagree with you bud, Fosters is pretty low on my list...

Since turning 21 I've tried over 120 beers, and Fosters is not that great. Step above piss water that is bud, coors, etc (because it actually has some flavor) but you can do way better.

Don't mean to sound elitist, just looking out for my fellow beer drinking fan.

You should try the Japanese beers; Asahi, Sapporo, Kirin Ichiban, all excellent, especially Asahi.

Michelob Amber Bock is a great choice as far as the less expensive beers go, its so damn smooth.

The Canadian beers have a sweet aftertaste; Moosehead is the best, Labatt Blue and Molson are solid too.

Red Stripe and Pacifico... oh man. So many good ones.

Drink up this list and tell me Fosters is good!

Have you been able to get your hands on an "Alexander Keiths"? Being a Canadian and having tried all our brands, i believe this one is the best of them all.

And as for Fosters, it's terrible. First time i tried it i thought it was ok....not great but ok.....halfway thru my second try with it i told them to poor it down the drain and give me something that didn't taste like what i believe urine would taste like.

imgv, you don't need anyones approval man. I've taken a ton of shit for being a big fan of corona which is consistently referred to as "mexican piss"... but I happen to think its a very light and refreshing beer.

To each their own!

Fosters and Corona are both the nationally appropriate piss. The best Australian lager I've had recently is Tooheys Extra Dry Platinum. Goes down fast and punches had. Great beer for getting drunk. Has a label that glows under nightclub blacklights, so you know it's hip.

I'm sure it might be better in Aussie, but the Fosters they bottle here in Canada is one of the worst I've had, along with Kokanee and Sam Adams.

Oh, and I really don't see the similarity between it and Newcastle Brown, but I could be off.

Stella is super smooth but doesnt have much taste... kind of like Grolsch.

I agree New Castle is not comparable and is much better (usually... every now and then you get a skunky bottle)

Sam Adams Honey Porter is the worst of all time.

I don't drink alot of beer, but I prefer beer brewed by the micro-breweries in Canada, specifically Sleeman.

They are all very good though.
