SBR always had BOS rated correctly--there was always significant risk with this Book. I loved betting there, one of the best +EV Books for me. Gave some back at the bitter end, but it was still a good ride overall. This rebate check was the icing on the case--rip BOS.

          Prick,

BOS was originally called MVPSPORTSBOOK, and VWAGER. During the years of 1995-2004 or 2005 something in that range, MVPSPORTSBOOK and VWAGER were both A books everywhere and were even included in top 10 lists. Dalton Wagner advertised like crazy on all the forums, and once SBR started accepting advertising, he was advertising here as well.

There were many warning signs from Dalton's book. He advertised everywhere and seemed to always be offering the deposit $200 get $50 cash free with 2X rollover. There were many slow pay complaints and I myself was being slow paid for $2000 at MVPSPORTSBOOK. I posted my complaint at therxforum.com and will banned me after I kept complaining in my usual blowhard fashion.

I also contacted Bill Dozer and my complaint didnt really go anywhere. I got paid in time because Dalton knew I was posting on all the boards. Daltons books were A everywhere.

Dalton's books then disappeared and became the BOS family of books and by that time I think everyone knew it was only a matter of time. So you are right that Dalton never had an A rating under the BOS name, but he had it for years under MVP/VWAGER. fact is, what he did was nothing more than a trick to make it look like he wasnt the one who ran with your money. BOS was Dalton.

That would be like the greek realizing they are bankrupt. So Spiro says he sold out to lets say www.theprick.com, but theprick.com is in fact still Spiro. then a few months later theprick.com goes bankrupt. That wouldnt change the fact that the book had an A rating for years. Now I know Spiro wouldnt do that, but Dalton did.

I completely forgot about my money there til I saw this thread. If I ever see a check it'll feel like money found in old clothes after moths ate up 95% of it.

Once a marquee sponsor here at Gambling911.com, MVP Sportsbook was bought by BetonSports early this year for an undisclosed amount of money and some shares. The deal was reportedly "performance based" and since BetonSports has shut its doors just weeks before the busiest betting time of the year (start of American football), MVP Sportsbook founder and CEO Dalton Wagner can't be performing very well.

                  SBR Ratings from 2004

I can provide the link, just not sure if I am allowed as its from therx.com

                  Cascade (SBR rating B)
                  LasPalmas/WitEuro (SBR ratings B /B+)
                  Bodog (SBR rating B-)
                  VWager (SBR rating B )
                  Allworld (SBR rating C+)
                  Gibraltar (SBR rating C+)
                  Rio family (Rio/IIS C+, Skybook C, Click&Bet D)
                  Millennium (SBR rating C)
                  Bluegrass (SBR rating C-)

Where are cascade, vwager, mvpsportsbook, millenium, aces gold, hollywood, etc. today? These ratings were from 2004 after VWager had been dropped to B but there was a time they were an A.

                    I only got 4.63%.

They probably took what money they recovered and divided it up by all the claims. I would say BOS had 4.63% of what it owed.

4.6% is actually a lot. Normally its around 3%. Lawyers gotta get their cut.

                            Brick,

According to the report of the assigned liquidators, they established about $28 million in liabilities, with about $1.3 million in assets to pay back. That's how they came to 4.63%.

Here is the thread with the SBRtv summary of the liquidation:

Here's all you need to know about the F'n US Gov't. BOS could have paid their customers in FULL, if not for the Gov't not giving an shit about their citizens, and stealing OUR money. As much as BOS is to blame for this, our Gov't is more to balme. Not that it's anything new, but it still continues to disgust. This from the final liquidation report.

Application to the US Attorney General to release funds
In the middle of 2009 we were advised that one of the original founders of the Betonsports group had reached a settlement with the US authorities in respect of various offences he had allegedly committed whilst in control of the company. The sum of US$43 million was seized from this individual by the US Department of Justice. Our lawyers in the United States advised that the liquidation estate might have had a legal claim to some or all of these funds, and accordingly work was undertaken by our firm and our legal teams to lodge a petition with the US Attorney General laying claim under US Remission proceedings. The claim was rejected by the Department of Justice on the basis that the funds represented the settlement of a fine, and were properly due to the US government. Upon receiving further legal advice in the United States as to the likelihood of success and costs involved in pursuing the matter further, the claim was abandoned.
