Don't bother capping the games; just selectively cap the market. It works for me and quite a few others I know. Its a grind, but at least its a +EV winning grind.

I've always felt that Baseball is much harder to win at long term than say Basketball. The way one single play (error, base hit) can completely change the game gives every game a ton of variance. In Basketball, most games don't hinge on a single play which makes it much more consistent.

Baseball has to be the hardest to cap, no wonder why they give 10 cent lines almost everywhere

Up in till the last 48 hours I would say I was doing pretty good. But I just lost my last 5 bets, and I think I am done for a while. I just want football to get here.

I know I'm not a great capper in MLB but I just bet a few small games a day just for action and throw around a few small long shot parlays for fun......Sometimes I go on hot streaks, sometimes I go cold, but when it comes down to it I usually will be up or down a little at the end of the season
College football and NFL are where I have the edge, and they are the only 2 sports where I feel confident and know I can and will come out on top......when football season is over, I basically bet bball and baseball for the fun of it and hope to hit a nice streak here and there
Find your strengths and hammer it hard.......bet small on your weak sports......only way to beat this thing in the long run (if at all)

rudy i would recommend using a professional line service if u want to profit at betting american sports such as nba, nfl and mlb.
i know you've won in the past, but a program like sportsoptions would help anyone.

I do very well in Baseball. I dont cap any game, by the way. Just read "between the lines", if you know what I mean.
The same with Basketball, Hockey.

Over the years I can't complain at all about how I have done in bases. This year is different. While I have had many personal distractions, I simply have made more than my fair share of dumb handicapping mistakes and on top of that have been pretty snake bit.
Am still in position with plenty of time to turn it around without making huge bets, but you guys got to learn that if you do this long enough there will always come a season no matter what the sport where it just ain't gonna go your way.
Soldier on and stick with it until things revert back to the norm. But don't blow your bankroll in the meantime.

HUH?
I lost badly in MLB last year, lost in CFB (-8.85) and barely in CBB (-1.64)
I WON in NFL, NBA and NHL.

I have to say the reason I fail at MLB so hard is because I know absolutely nothing about teams, previous years, players, etc.
That's just IMO. If you know jackshit about the sport you're trying to wager on, you will never win.
My only strength is college fball and college hoops, and a lil mma. I have come to the realization I am wasting my time trying to make money on MLB. The same could be said for people who bet "blindly" on college fball and hoops but know a lot about MLB, they probably feel the same way.
