Cueto VS Carpenter-The Rivalry Continues Today!!!!!
Monday’s matchup is an intriguing one. Right-hander Johnny Cueto faces Chris Carpenter in a 6:15 game. Cueto and Carpenter were two of the main participants in the brawl Aug. 9 last season.

Cueto says he’s not worried about Carpenter hitting him. Cueto will concentrate on the task at hand.

“I’m just going to try to pitch my game,” he said.

Cueto has pitched like an ace lately. He went 3-0 with a 1.51 ERA and was the victim two blown saves in June.

The Reds are convinced their best baseball is ahead.

“The way I look at it we have a good enough team,” closer Francisco Cordero said. “We’re not playing that well now. But we’re going to be better. Dusty says that the same thing. Everyday we’re going to get it going.

“We’ve got a good team like we had last year. It’s just a matter of time. We’re a better team.”

Side note Cueto also ended Larue's career last year by spiking him in the head giving him a concussion.
    So who u got?
    Im taking Cueto -102

Cueto = Biggest pussy in the game. Should have seen the way he kicked LaRue in the head. Carp should throw at him every time. And just like when he was with the Cubs, Dusty Baker won't understand why teams retaliate and get all bent out of shape about it.

I wish Carp would smoke him but he's too much of a professional. I'd like to see if the crowd at Busch decide to heckle him more than just the first couple pitches. Hopefully they give him the treatment for as long as he's out there.

Carp being a professional is fuking laughable. It's well known he's the biggest cry baby in the game...

Cards have hit Cueto well while Carp has owned cincy.

Carp was never as bad as his numbers indicated this season and the correction has already begun to take place, you getting Carp at home at -120 you might wanna think about enjoying that now cause it wont last much longer.

no sir. i was asked same thing before last start when he threw 120 something. Guy is and always has been a horse. He getting older and maybe this will take a toll by the end of the season but short term he is just fine. His last pitch last game was a 95 mph fastball with lots of life.

Dont ask me how but even when struggling earlier in the year his fastball was as hard as ive seen it the last several years, wouldnt shock me if Larussa has him on hgh, or he is just a throwback but win or lose this game it will have nothing to do with the amount of pitches he has throw recently.

only one prob with under. We have had a unsettled weather pattern here the last 2 days and while everything is fine now the weather ppl around here said decent chance of a shower or 2 during gm and imho a delay would kill this under.

Intriguing-I wasn't aware of the background to this game. I always wondered why the batters don't keep the bat when they charge the mound-is it not "tit for tat" in the case of a beanball? At any rate, I should remember my anger management classes-I'm on CIN this one. Cheers

Cueto needs to file for some ******* run support, you take away votto and you got a bunch of bastards who strike out 3 out of 5 times, scott rolen is limping up there and batting cleanup of all things, drew stubbs strikes out more than mark reynalds, and bruce is good for one hit a game. it pisses me off to even talk about them, could only be worst if the dodgers sent us there manager.

A era well under 2 and a shit record to show for it.
