Tech guys...help...tablet questions

I found an Android tablet 2.27 online for like 90 bucks. What is the big difference between one of these things and an Ipad?

I would pretty much be using it as a second laptop for the bedroom. SBR, music, netflix, internet browsing, shopping type stuff.

Can anyone give me some insight....I have looked up reviews on it, but all I get are specifications, which I honestly don't know the difference in some of that garbage....dumb it down for me boys!

WV.......I have an iPad2, so I can only speak for that. I love mine. I use it to check scores, post on the forum, and surf the web pretty much exclusively.

Can't replace a laptop, but for stuff like this.....its awesome.

Careful with the 90 "android" tablets. A lot of them either

(A) aren't even android
(B) only run an older version (and much slower) of android
(C) are absolute pigs on batteries

What brand is that tablet? You can search Youtube for a review of the tab you're looking at, you might even find a review where they compare side by side. From what I've seen so far the Asus and Samsung (both use the Android Honeycomb OS) compare favorably to the ipad2.

Not for nothing but no one asks if a $100 laptop is worth the money. Obviously shlt. Lot of companies tried to sneak out erly and ride the iPad wave and there were plenty of willing suckers to take the bait. The only decent non iPad tablets have mostly just come out in the last few months. A number of pretenders before that though.

Be wary of any (there are a few) of the e-pad tablets available too.
