There was an apology by one of the match officials after the match.. Fifa have admitted it was a monumental rooster up. I don't know how this was missed.

At least Australia still won.

especially when you factor in the grand scale of the game..it is the worst call in history..it did effect lotsa money too..the aussie failed to cover the -1.5 line

Relying on women in this kind of sport is stupid in my opinion. That equalizer by Guinea was stupid. It was a foul on the defender, but at the same time, stupidity from the defense, clear the ball, don't keep passing back to 3 defenders and get pressured by 1 striker from the opponents team. It's not a good idea to bet on womens football imo. So many variables.

No red card, no obvious scoring opportunity for Australia , but yellow and penalty should be a call.

obvious scoring opportunity is not the basis of a red card for a ball on hand. if a player intentionally blocked or hold the ball, then that would be a red card.
