    AllState to sponsor Sugar Bowl
Insurance company AllState has purchased sponsorship right to the Sugar Bowl, formerly sponsored by Nokia. Of course, this comes at a time where insurance companies are, in the words of the AP, "under heavy criticism for (their) slow and often contentious dealings with Hurricane Katrina victims." AllState has all the right in the world to do whatever they want with their money, but... something about this just doesn't sit right with me. What do you guys think?

You're in bad hands with allstate. That company is so much more expensive than other companies it is not even funny.

Who better than to sponsor the Sugar Bowl than a company already paying through the wazoo to help rebuild the region (and charging through the wazoo to make up for it, too).

Believe it or not, when I was 18 and needed a new company, Allstate was the cheapest insurance I could find. Been with them ever since.

Hell just recently (6 months ago), they called me to come in and redo my plan because they seen I could save money. I was floored when I got that call, because a insurance company concerned about you saving money? No way. But they did.

That's a company you keep. You almost never hear of that happening.
