Questions regarding Blackberry and Moto Q
My laptop screen busted so instead of buying another one I am debating on getting rid of the extra expense from a wireless card and just getting a Blackberry or Moto Q phone. No ATT in my area so Iphone is out of the question. I have a few questions for anyone who can help before deciding to go that route.

When browsing the net do these phones allow multiple windows to be open?

How difficult is it to copy and paste from web browser or spreadsheet?

Can you log into wagering sites from the phone?

    Thanks for any help.

I know nothing about Moto Q but if you have a data service on your Blackberry you can hook it up to your computer and use its Internet connection to go online using your computer. It is going to be slow though.

    - While using Blackberry you can have only one page open.
    - You cannot copy and paste between different applications.
    - You can logon to most wagering sites but navigation is a major pain.

Speaking about browser, realistically, you can use the handheld to read news, read/post on the forums and use Google.

        Blackberry Curve

I've used my BB Curve on TMobile with a data plan and love it. All of the live score sites have mobile sites that look and perform great on it. I've placed bets with my Blackberry on Greek, Spartan, Beted, and 5Dimes with no problems. You'll learn to save shortcuts to sites you go to all the time so the navigation eventually is very fluent. I've even posted to this site with my blackberry. No problems at all once you get the browser configuration set the right way (the default settings are dogshit).

If you go with a blackberry I'll export my favorites/shortcuts for all of the websites, some of them I had to find through alternate means that aren't even available by going directly to the site itself.

          replacement screen for laptop

btw, if you have the model number of your laptop, I can get you a very cheap price to replace the screen with a new one.

I do some posting and betting from my Palm Centro. But in no way could I think it would replace my laptop. Its a pain at times, but does the job when needed. It can also hook up as a wireless modem for my laptop. So that is a option with a smart phone, so you can save some money on internet cost. It would just be slower, if you can handle that.

My blackberry is my modem and it is fast. I also have a broadband connection but rarely use it.

The blackberry service is 30 bucks a month tho. It wont save u alot. The biggest saving would be from not getting another laptop, but I don't think u will be happy.

It sucks browsing with the phone itself, but when connected to the cptr it is great.

Good luck dio, holler if I can help.

Thanks for the responses...I am only looking to use the phone when at work. I should have stated that it wasn't replacing the laptop which I use at home on an extra tv. I have cable internet at home so it is just a waste to spend and extra $60 a month for a wireless card. I already have the unlimited data/text package and internet service for my current phone so I don't think there will be much added costs for that. Sounds like my best option might be to replace the screen on my laptop and use the phone as a modem whenever I have extended downtime at work and need to be on the laptop instead.
