My grandmother passed away tonight and I feel the worst I've ever felt in my life as far back as I can remember this is the first family member I've lost besides my great grandmother when I was like 5 (wasn't old enough to truely know what it feels like to lose someone). I only wish I could have been a closer grandson to her and I feel terrible that I couldn't say any last words.

Thanks bud I'm hangin in there, it just sucks because she lived soo far away and I haven't seen or spoke to her in a few years I never even thought once to call her and I'm sure she thought about me everyday. Just goes to show never take what you have for granted becauss one day it could be there and the next day could be gone. Never felt so bad in my life all I want to do is speak to her one last time to apologize for all the mistakes I've made in my life and to tell her I will always love her no matter the distance between us.Originally posted by iceminers26Comment -

Fortunately.you will learn more about our mortality and take the time to love daily her sons and daughters and those who she loved because thats what she would want you to do. Love her family and any pets that she left behind starting today like you never have before for the rest of your life. You can then hold yuor head high and smile when you think of her each day
I too cant sleep..but its because I cant wait for Friday to blossom with the early tennis, world cup chick soccer, copa america starts, under -17 world cup qtrs, boxing on espn and all the other sports I hope to bet and watch all day today

Hey man. I'm sorry about you're loss. My last remaining grandma died 7 yrs ago. I know it hurts. Looking back I wish I was a better grandson but you get strength by making her life carry on through you're own. The body dies but the spirit lives on. I'm so sorry for you're loss. Thanks buddy it helps to know other people are going through the same thing I am, not that I would ever want anybody to suffer but it helps when u have people around you who understand. I know she wouldn't want me to be upset but it's just so much harder because I never got to say goodbye she didn't really get to watch me grow up because she lived soo far away but I still saw her a couple times a year until around age 16. Now its been years and I haven't spoken to her and now she's gone. Last time she got sick she made it, this time she didn't even last an hour. I really hope she didn't suffer and that she is now at peace because I'm sure she wishes she could have spoken to me also. My mother is in vacation in Cancoon, Mexico and I haven't been able to get in contact with her so she still has no idea. I'm sure she has a feeling though, a lot of people feel when they lose someone thats closest to them. When my great grandmother passed away my other grandmother was driving and pulled over because she felt a shortness of breath almost like the wind was sucked out of her. 5 minutes later she got the call that her mother passed away.
