Is WNBA's Becky Hammon a traitor?
For representing Russia at Olympics basketball after being snobbed by Team USA.

Is this a black/white issue? We can't have a white girl play basketball for national team anymore?

i seen that clip on yahoo earlier, but i seen a more in depth interview a couple weeks ago during halftime of a Silver Stars game. I agree with the interview i seen a couple weeks ago. these girls don't make much money. she plays for a Russian pro womens team in the off-season to make extra cash. ok, the Russians give her a citizenship. she's one of the most popular players in the league, she's an all-star, yet the US National team says she's not good enough, so she agrees to play for the Russians since they have been good to her, after she excepts, then the US offers her a chance to try-out, not automatically on, just try-out for the team, now the US coach is calling her a traitor.
she's is trying to make a living. i know her doing this won't sit well with older folks who dealt with the cold war issues, but i say good for her, for the US not letting her originally be on the team.

now you could flip the switch for llgauskas(?) for the Cleveland Cavs. the Cavs aren't letting him play for Lithuania because of his history of injuries. now in his country he might be getting called a traitor for being a sell-out to the US and embracing US culture, instead of saying screw the Cavs "I'm playing for my country for pride" or whatever. But i'm sure he knows that what he makes in money for the Cavs can support his family back home and is more than he can make playing pro ball in Europe.
so is he a traitor for not representing his country and enjoying his big NBA paycheck. I think not.

        poor judgement in my opinion

ruins part of her marketability with U.S. advertisers

not that there is a bunch of advertising dollars in the WNBA but some is better than none

You can't play for us, but then again, if you try to play for anybody else, we'll label you a traitor.

The one thing being ignored in all of this is that it is women's basketball. Not exactly anything to get all that upset about.

          Let the kid play.

            NO

Bush is a traitor for fabricating the myth of weapons of mass destruction and thus unnecessarily causing the death and crippling of hundreds of thousands of innocent people

I know! That's the crazy thing. We as Americans would be totally better off with Saddam in power.

1.) 5000 innocent american fathers, husbands, brothers, sisters would be alive today

2.) 20,000 innocent americans would have both their legs and arms and not be mentally depressed

3.) Al Qaeda would NOT be in Iraq

4.) Hundreds of thousands of terrorists created by the conflict in iraq would not exist

5.) Hundreds of thousands of terrorists would not have gotten trained in the war to attack us in the future all over the world.

6.) Bush and Cheney would not have an excuse to destroy the U.S. constitution by imprisoning people without any form of a trial which puts all of us at risk in the future when a future u.s. government wants to start imprisoning americans without a trial

7.) We would actually have money to fix our roads and bridges which are crumbling due to age as most were built in the 50 and 60s

8.) The world population would still respect America as a beacon of freedom and integrity.

9.) We wouldn't be stuck in Iraq for the next 100 years!

10.) There wouldn't be talk of bringing back the draft because the military wouldn't be desperate for recruits.

and on and on and on and on

Yeah, but Exxon Mobil wouldn't have a 40 billion dollar profit if we didn't invade nor will the country have a 5 trillion dollar deficit.

40 billion profit beats the hell out of 5 trillion deficit all the time.
